John is a widower with two children, each of whom have children of their own, and Inheritance Tax, for him is not a consideration. His son is independently wealthy, even so, he still wishes to pass on half his estate to him but is concerned about future IHT the grandchildren may need to pay. His daughter is in a very unstable relationship and is currently living with him. His current Will leaves everything to his children equally, but he worries about what could happen in the future.
This is a classic situation where more advanced planning is a pre-requisite to deliver the client needs. A single person Beneficiary Protection Plan from his estate planner would address all the concerns which John may have.
